The John Doe Storm is of the most heavily perforated leather jackets we’ve seen to date. It flows air nearly as well as a textile jacket, but with a CE AA rating it’s as good or better when it comes to asphalt resistance.
As such we’re adding it as an honorable mention 11th entry in our “” rundown.
The jacket cuts a classic café-type silhouette, with ribbed padding at the shoulder overlays. Underneath the shell of course is John Doe’s proprietary in-house, and uber-adjustable XTM Armor, at the shoulders and elbows.

In addition to the two hand-warmer pockets and two horizontal zippered chest pockets, the Storm also has two smart interior pockets – both with closures to hold onto phones and wallets while riding.
With all those pockets the jacket still sports a flattery profile, with a multi-position hem adjustment for tailoring the fit.
A bi-swing feature gives the jacket great mobility on the bike, and pre-articulated sleeves mean it will be comfortable while piling on summer miles.
